Yes, NfN is completely free for community members and always will be. We believe access to food and community should never be paywalled. We sustain ourselves through optional community donations and local partnership programs.
All members go through an email verification process and build a community trust score over time. You can see a neighbor's rating, history, and reviews before accepting food. We also have clear food safety guidelines and a moderation team that reviews reports promptly.
You can share cooked meals, baked goods, fresh produce from your garden, unopened pantry items, and more. We ask that all food be clearly described, properly stored, and not past its use-by date. Alcohol, supplements, and medical foods are not permitted.
Your exact address is never shared publicly. Pickup locations are negotiated through private in-app messaging. Your profile shows only your first name and neighborhood. We never sell your data and comply fully with data protection regulations.
You can report any user or post directly from the app with one tap. Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24 hours. Repeat offenders are removed from the platform. Your safety and comfort are our top priority.
